here my am!

So. I had my summer blog vacation and now we're back! But unfortunately it took a bit of time for Reese and I to get into a good rhythm this semester and so summer leaked into fall and now here we are in mid-October. So what did we do this summer? Well, Reese went to a lot of therapy (duck your head, mommy!) and I went to a lot of work. But we did manage to squeeze in some fun stuff. Here's what we did....backwards...

We went to festivals and had lots of fun! And we went apple picking.



We practiced for future Phish concerts.

We saw cousins.

And alpacas.

We went to farms.

We became a serial nose picker.

We had our first solo pony ride and LOVED it!

We went to the Philly Children's Museum.

We practiced being Grammy.

We missed a train ride, so we went back the next day and made sure we didn't miss it.

We got ready for football in our own style.

We caught a terrible cold.

We celebrated a new home and let everyone know who the queen of the bounce house really is.

We stayed cute as a button.

We went to the zoo and saw a baby pony.

We stayed inside when it was really hot and pretended to be daddy at work

We went to the first game at the new stadium and rooted for the Jets!

We had picnics and saw our first "broadway" show, to which Reese remarked "Mommy, I'm going to be on stage someday and you're going to watch me!" Sure thing, baby!

We met a TON of new babies this summer.

We learned the hard way not to stick our fingers in the chicken coop.

We tried potty training. And then we gave up on potty training.

We witnessed our friends' marriage....and what a wedding it was!

We made friends at the pool.

We saw a lot of fireworks, ate a lot of popcicles and kettle corn, and used a lot of bugspray.

We discovered glow necklaces.

We were smooched by alpacas.

We learned about how Jersey Girls don't pump gas.

We watched the wedding video and became very distressed about Reese missing out on the big party and the princess dresses, so we took a trip back to the wedding site and had a lovely dinner and walked on the beach in our princess dresses. And now we're happy about the wedding video, even though there's still NO REESE in it.

We finished daycare and started at a preschool, aka the "chicken school". And we had, and are still having, a pretty rough transition.

We rocked the elmo hat.

We had a friend over for Splash Day.

We learned to swim by ourselves!

We saw more cousins.

We looked HUGE next to new babies.

We went to a lot of birthday parties and had a blast!

We grew enough hair for little braids.

We went to our first movie, Toy Story III, and loved it. Especially the pah-corn.

We did a lot as a family.

We goofed off at home.

Did I mention all the birthday parties?

We met some relatives from the across the pond for the first time.

We took a fantabulous trip to Florida and had a blast!

We read some books...just a few.

And that's it. Pretty lame, huh?
