the zoo

We had some seriously nice weather today so we took advantage of it and went to our little local zoo. It was MUDDY and STINKY, but we all loved being outside and seeing all the animals. Reese seemed to have a good time so we'll have to go back again soon.

Reese's favorite animals to see where the "ducks"....aka, the chickens that followed us everywhere we went.

I carried Reese through the whole zoo and we got to see another momma carrying her baby, too. Although that momma was more interested in looking in the pipe for treats than checking out this momma and baby. And that baby liked popcorn treats as opposed to our baby who loves to have some puffs as a treat.

We thought Reese would really like the giraffes since she carries her little giraffe everywhere she goes, but she was a little scared of them at first. This guy put his face down right in our face and tried to give us a big sloppy smooch. We also so another guy that was HUGE and let us scratch his nose. And we saw a baby giraffe who was much bigger than our baby. Much much bigger!



Mommy liked this little baby monkey who ran around waving his arms all around...he was hysterical!

This one taught daddy how to properly send the treats down the shoot. He didn't care for the popcorn or the peanuts and held out for the fruit loops.

And when we were all done, our girl feel asleep and napped for over two hours.

She must have really liked the zoo!
