our friends in boston

Reese and I took a girls' trip to Boston to visit some old college friends of mine and some new kiddie friends of hers. It was Ava's 3rd birthday and Michael's 1st birthday and we got to be a part of their big birthday monkey-see-monkey-do party...super monkeylicious fun!!

Reese LOVED their bounce house and spent a lot of time in it running around like a loon.

Micheal liked to sit in the corners and bounce around while the girls ran back and forth.

Ava practiced some of her gymnastics tricks.

Reese and Michael got along better at some times than at others.
This is one of the "other" times.

This is when they learned that sharing is...ok...not great....just barely tolerable.

But regardless, they still loved each other and gave a lot of hugs and kisses.

Reese also found a pair of big-girl shoes to walk around in. Funny! We met lots of friends at the big party, but unfortunately didn't get pictures of them. A big shout out and hug to Anderson who Reese spent quite a while playing ball with...he's a great kicker!!

And she was very pleased with their selection of chairs and giraffes.

The next day, she was excited to jump again...and again, and again, and again.
This girl loves to jump even in her pj's!!

Mommy's favorite part of the weekend was when Reese inherited a clip from Ava that actually stayed in her hair! How cute!! We went out to lunch on Newbury Street to show off her new look.

Reese loves walking around in the city and seeing all the sights.

But sometimes when walking around, she falls alseep. And sometimes she falls alseep in an awkward position in her stroller.

When it was time to leave, I was a little nervous how our girl would do on such a long drive home during the day. Luckily, she did great! She slept a lot, did some singing, and when she fussed we pulled over and had a quick lunch and stretched our legs in the front seat for a while. All in all, a great trip! We can't wait to visit again and to see our friends again at the beach in a few weeks!!
