Reese and I took a trip the other day to an alpaca farm...don't ask, it's a long story. Anyway, since we'd seen an alpaca ealier in the week at a petting zoo and Reese had been asking to go back and see "dah paca" again, we jumped at the chance when invited to go visit one. They had over 150 alpacas there (!!!), along with 40 cats, a dozen or so emus, a ton of chickens and roosters, and some ducks. LOTS of animals and lots of knowledgeable people there to answer our bevy of alpaca questions. So what did we learn at the alpaca farm? Well....a lot. It's probably better to go on a day when it's not raining b/c the rain+poop makes a mess only wellies can handle. Alpacas smell kinda bad. We don't care for emus...and that's not just me projecting my dislike of all birds onto Reese. She really didn't like the emu. And the last thing we learned is that it's fun to explore new places and see lots of animals and that Reese really really really likes chickens...but we knew that already, right?
