we took our plague to the park

Since Reese was so sick last week, we didn't really leave the house much. And ALL of us had a pretty bad case of cabin fever by Sunday. Lucky for us the weather turned gorgeous this past weekend so we took our sick little family and hit the big park. Reese was very excited, until we got in the car and she fell asleep in the five minutes it took to drive there.
So we just strolled her around like that for about an hour and waited for her to wake up.

And when she woke up, we went to see the ducks and geese, which were taller than her and just as friendly as her. She wanted to play duck-duck-goose with them and tried really hard to get J and I to sit on the ground and run around them...maybe next time, sweetie. See that big building in the background? That's the hospital where our Reesey was born.

Then we went to see all the kids and play on the playground. This merry go round was INSANE and completely overrun by kids. At first we couldn't get on and so Reese yelled out "Hey kids! All done! Reesey turn!!" And then after we spun around for a while, she decided that she was done and tried to jump off. Lucky for me, we had a cutie little boy next to me that agreed it was a bad idea for her to jump and held on to her as tightly as I did to try and prevent her from suceeding....she liked him and must have said 'Hi boy" about 20 times.

And of course, we hit the slides. She likes going on them by herself, but makes us each go down with her at least once.

And today Reese is feeling much better and is heading back to school for the first time in over a week. She says she's happy about going back....we shall see what drop off is like.
