Our girl is now 1.25 years old...wow! Taking these month birthday pics (yes, still in that silly 3 month sized onsie) is getting more and more difficult. Reese is becoming a very good climber and its hard to get her to sit still while I take the pics when she's much more interested in climbing off the chair OR standing on the arms of the chair while rocking it...she's a nut! Reese celebrated her 15 month birthday by taking a kayak ride around the pool (see the next post) and enjoying the beautiful weather we had this weekend.
15 month likes: mommy and daddy, paco, blankie(s), bunnies/cats/dogs, being tickled and tickling other people, brushing her teeth and brushing other people's teeth, anything that has to do with babies, balls, playing outside, running, being chased, hide and seek, tv shows, trees, swimming, going for walks in her little car, playgrounds, climbing UP the slide and then sliding down really fast (daredevil!!), climbing up things very quietly so that nobody knows what she's doing, playing with her toys, reading books, sitting in people's laps and being held, eating cheerios, chatting, paper, pressing buttons (literally and figuratively), milk from mommy and milk from the kitchen, dancing to the new toddler music channel, singing, crackers, peanut butter, chicken nuggets, puffs (of course), driving with the windows down, playing with other kids, saying "hi" to strangers, waving at people, hugs and kisses, shoes and socks, getting her hair brushed, rumaging through purses, putting toys in a container and then taking them out, blocks, balloons, drinking out of a straw, watches, taking her vitamins, trying to sneak into the laundry room when mommy leaves the gate open, surprises, playing games and being very silly, easter eggs (and the game we play where we pretend to break them), using a fork or a spoon to feed herself, and exploring everything there is to see around her.
15month dislikes: getting dressed or changed, being told "no", when her baby doll has her clothes on improperly, when something is out of reach or too heavy to pick up, the carseat, loud noises (like motorcycles or thunder), being put down, daycare at the gym, manicure and pedicures, having her face washed, sitting still for pictures, not being allowed to eat rocks/garbage/wood/corks/bugs/mail/and other various inedible things, the safety locks on our cabinets, getting up in the morning, and most foods including ice cream.
15 month words and signs: She signs for more, milk, eat, all done, hi, and bye bye. We are currently working on the signs for please, thank you, and hurt. She says hi, bye, dadda, paco, baby, ball, socks, up, down, go (for outside or rides in the car), no, yes, uh-oh, all done, doggie, bunny, night-night, good girl, good boy, blankie, eye, grandpa, and supposedly she says momma but she only says it when I'm not around so I haven't heard it in a long time.
