early to bed

Reese's bedtime has been 8pm for quite a while now. She has dinner at about 6pm, bath at 7pm, and then night-night she goes at 8pm. And she generally sleeps till about 6am with no issues...until lately. First it was 5:45am...then 5:30am...then 5:15am...and then 4:50am which is technically the middle of the night in my opinion. Not acceptable!! We tried a couple different things to get her to sleep later. Was the sun coming up earlier and waking her up? Was she cold? Was it noiser outside with the birds? Was she hungry? If we ignored her would she go back to sleep? (no...not a chance). And then I read through some of the books we have about sleeping habits for babies and it suggested the one thing that was not obvious...put her to bed earlier! What?!? So last night we did night-night at 7:40pm and...she slept until 6am again! Tonight we got her down at about 7:30, so lets hope the same thing happens and that the books were right!

Check out my little skater punk...

Oh yes! Earlier to bed does make a difference! Noah goes to bed every night by 7PM and isn't up until 7AM.

Keep up the good sleep Reese!
