17 months old!!

Our girl is now 17 months old and is becoming such a big girl lately. She is so social and friendly, although she still prefers the company of momma and daddy the most. She is wearing mostly 12month sized clothes, but is slowly moving into some 18month sizes. Actually, a lot of her dresses are still 9month and she has a pair of 6month sized shorts from last year that fit her better this year than they did last! She loves keeping busy and going out and about visiting different people. The sign with her age on it didn't stand a chance this month, and yes...it's still the same 3month sized onsie. The onsie that never went away...

17month likes - momma and daddy, paco (aka "good boy"), other kids, grandparents, singing and dancing, this little piggie, itsy bitsy spider, snack foods, putting things in and out of a container, blankie and all of the blankie impersonators, baby (a doll she sleeps with), minnie mouse, pooh bear, bottles of milk, saying "hi" and "bye" to strangers, standing on her head, eating crayons, playing outside, climbing on things she shouldn't climb on, playing the up-down game, animals and bugs, boxes of tissues, dora the explorer, blues clues, elmo, playing with laundry, pointing out things that have fallen on the floor or small messes she thinks need to be cleaned up, making the water come out of her sippy cup so she can smear it around the floor/ottoman/table, wiping food in her hair, popsicles, walking around like a silly goose, making new friends, shoes, getting her hair brushed, pretending to fall asleep while getting a diaper change, pool club, swimming, leanring new words, hiding, hiding momma's things, makeup, purses, dolls, toys, balls, going for walks...and I don't know what else....this kid likes so many things it's impossible to remember them all!

17month dislikes - getting changed or dressed, going to bed, being in the car, being overtired, getting sunscreen applied, manicure/pedicures, having her hair washed, getting a bath from momma rather than daddy, loud noises (except thunder...she doesn't mind that), being told no, most fruits/veggies/meats, wearing a bathing suit, not being allowed to run in the parking lot, school, and unfortunately hair barrettes.

Words - At this point, Reese says almost anything you teach her. Some of her favorite words that are also quite funny to hear are house, keys, bus, Reese, turtle, noodle, watermelon, tail, Minnie, Grammy, thunder (tundah), Cheerios (chi-chos), and milk (ilky), thank you (tadoo). She also can put a few words together and say goodnight to everyone in the house without prompting. She is such a doll lately and we are having so much fun hearing the words she comes up with.
