18 months old!!

Our girl is one and a half now! Wow!! Obviously you've all seen her 18month pics that we had taken, but what would a month birthday be without the same old 3-month onsie pic? It gets harder and harder to take these pics, although it has nothing to do with the onsie. And since she's no longer a baby-baby, and is quickly moving into toddlerhood at a speed that I'm not always comfortable with, I thought I'd change it up a little bit. Instead of listing what I think she likes and doesn't like, I'm going to list what she TELLS me she likes and doesn't like. This kid is a Chatty Cathy and there's no doubt about her interests...

Things Reese likes to talk about: She tells everyone she sees who "the momma" and "the daddy" are and points us out to them, she makes sure to point out everything that falls on the floor by yelling "uh-oh" very loudly...even in public, she tells Paco "no no" everytime she sees him, she neighs at the horses down the street while we drive by and says yumyumyum if they are eating, she LOVES to talk about "the bus" and every car/motorcycle/truck that drives by must certainly be "the bus", she says goodbye to everything especially the bus and the horses, she says hi to everything even innanimate objects, she'll shush shush shush anyone who talks too loudly while any baby in real life or on tv is sleeping although Reese is allowed to speak loudly regardless, she likes things to be "off" including my watch and the lids on any container, she likes to talk about things that are "hot" and to blow on them even if in fact they are not hot and this applies to the bath which she has started to refuse to get into for fear it is "hot" and needs to be blown on (and she doesn't know "cold" yet regardless of how many times I try to tell her, so even cold things are "hot") , does not like to sit home and wait and would rather be out and about and tells me this by standing at the door saying "go. go. go.", she wants "up" and "down" quite a bit during the day, "the bubbles" means any type of water whether for drinking or swimming, butterflies are discussed frequently "baaafwys" and they are also signed for, she talks about the fish in the ocean (ish in da oshey) she also signs for "please" but only if she really really really wants something.

Things Reese does not like to talk about: Well, there's a fairly long list of things she's particular about, but mostly she just says "no" and runs away. She likes to make me chase her, the little stinker.

Things we love about Reese at 18 months old: We love how silly she is and how sneaky she can be (even though it's sometimes not convenient). We love how brave she is and how outgoing she is. We love how passionate she is about swimming and horses and also how sweet she is with her babydolls. We love that she plays tricks on us and mimics everything we say. We love how cuddly she is and how she loves to chat with us about things she thinks about. Her mannerisms are hilarious and she wins over everyone we meet. We love that people think she's a 9 month old genius b/c of her size and that she's so petite and dainty. I love that she's a gentle soul and also wild at the same time. She's the perfect mix of sweet and silly and there isn't anything I don't love about her.
