Reese has met a lot of friends in her short 18months. She first made friends with some of her some of her silly willy cousins, and then her babysitters beautiful daughters, and most recently with the kids at her new school. But some of her friends are also my friends, because they are the children of some of my dearest girlfriends from college and Reese just met them a few weeks ago on our vacation. We don't see these friends quite as often, but they are no less important in my life, and now Reese's. Since we've been back, Reese has talked nonstop about her friends. Whenever we see a boy doing a canonball into the pool, Reese asks me if that was Aden or Noah. Whenever we see a blond baby in a shopping cart, Reese asks me if that is Michael. And whenever we see a little girl with a pretty ponytail, she asks if it is Ava. And although they had their...ahem...moments together, these kids will remain friends as long as my girlfriends and I remain friends...forever. We laughed about future vacations when we'd bring out these pictures and which kids would look forward to seeing which other kids. And we also planned a trip for this coming Fall...without the kids! My favorite "friend" story of our vacation week was when 5 year old Aden and his brother, 8 year old Noah, started chasing some seagulls and of course Noah was faster than Aden. As they took off, we could hear Aden say "Wait for me, Noah! Don't forget you're my best friend!"
